We offer two specific tyre packages: a lower-profile 255/35 setup for lowered vans, and a high-capacity 245/45 & 265/45 combination for heavy-duty/camper use.

The 255/35/20 option is suitable for all non-T32 and non-320 models. For T32 or 320 models with a higher gross vehicle weight, for load rating purposes will require the alternative tyre package option. The 245/45/20 tyre option should be fitted to the wheels mounted on the front axle and the 265/45/20 tyre option should be fitted to the wheels mounted on the rear axle.

Why is the 925kg load rating so important for the Mk2 Custom and T7?
The newest 6-stud chassis platforms carry significantly higher axle weights than previous generations. A 925kg rating per wheel provides a total axle capacity of 1,850kg, which far exceeds the requirements for even the heaviest 320 or T32 models. This ensures your van remains 100% road-legal and insurance-compliant, even when fully loaded or converted into a camper.

Why does the high-capacity package use two different tyre sizes?
We use a wider 265/45 rear for the necessary load rating on heavy vans, paired with a 245/45 front to ensure zero arch rubbing on full steering lock.
